- Continuation of local programming organized by the Area Chairs.
- Outreach to graduate students and new professionals.
- Scholarship support for students and candidates who wish to attend AAPCSW conferences.
- Programs that mentor academics seeking to develop psychoanalytic curriculum.
- Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing (PEP).
The AAPCSW supports legislative activities through participation in:
- The Consortium of psychoanalytic organizations, which oversees actions and standards related to psychoanalytic practice.
- The Mental Health Liaison Group (MHLG), a national organization that represents consumers, family members, advocates, professionals and providers.
- The Accreditation Council for Psychoanalytic Education (ACPE), which upholds standards when accrediting psychoanalytic education.
